Arsenal‘s Christian Nørgaard has an option of joining Crystal Palace, if he were to leave the Emirates this summer.
The Premier League winners signed the 32-year-old from Brentford in July 2025, and he settled for a restricted role. To put it context, Mikel Arteta handed him only 101 minutes from six league matches last season.
His situation at Arsenal has caught the attention of a few English clubs, including Crystal Palace.
Arsenal player on exit ramp
That’s according to Monday’s edition of Ekstra Bladet, who indicates the midfielder hasn’t made a final decision yet on his future.
Last October, the Dane said he wants to return to Brøndby, after leaving Arsenal.
Ekstra Bladet now insists that won’t happen this summer as an immediate move to his country is not on the cards. However, the player could still leave the north London club in this window.
On June 16th, Sport Witness covered claims from Denmark of the great possibility of him edging towards the exit door. Last week, former Arsenal midfielder Anders Limpar said Mikel Arteta loves his compatriot but isn’t sure of his Emirates stay.
The newspaper picks up on it and claims Christian Nørgaard is on the exit ramp as it’s complicated for him to enjoy more game time at Arsenal next season.
This will be more difficult if the Gunners were to sign Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimarães.
Arsenal open to offers
It’s unclear whether the Brazilian will join the Premier League winners. Irrespective of this signing, Christian Nørgaard’s future at the Emirates remains uncertain.
Mikel Arteta’s side, for their part, are willing to listen to offers for the midfielder, without a mention of their request.
The Dane is attracting interest from England, where Crystal Palace are one of his suitors. The Eagles could be attractive because a move to Selhurst Park will allow him to continue in London.
Ekstra Bladet claims he could also continue at Arsenal but has to accept that playing time will be restricted.
It looks like Nørgaard hasn’t made the final decision even though Arsenal are willing to sell him.
His contract is until 2027, with an option for another year, and Transfermarkt value him at €5m.
