Gary Neville has stated that Ryan Gravenberch is the one Liverpool player he'd love to see join Manchester United as both teams look to bolster their ranks at defensive midfield.
United appears to have already secured Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans in central midfield, with the Manchester club's fans still hopeful of signing a defensive-minded player. The Red Devils had been linked to Atalanta's Ederson, but a deal appears to have fallen through. Liverpool's bitter rival has also been rumored to be interested in signing Manu Kone, a player who has been linked to Anfield before. The Reds have also been linked to former Reds defender Neco Williams.
But Neville has stated that Gravenberch is the type of player he'd like to see United go for, preferring him to Florian Wirtz, Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister.
Speaking on The Overlap, Neville was asked which player he'd sign from Liverpool to United if he could, and he explained why he'd go with Gravenberch.
He said: "There’s a few, but it’s harder because Wirtz isn’t exactly jumping out at me, (Alexander) Isak isn’t jumping out at me, (Hugo) Ekitike yeah, Dominik Szoboszlai maybe.
"I’d go with Gravenberch. If you said to me, 'United, now, who would I take?' — I’d take Gravenberch probably.

"He’s the best of the three midfielders that United would need, and we need a midfielder desperately.
"The [Liverpool] forwards are good, but I wouldn’t probably swap them over (Bryan) Mbeumo, (Matheus) Cunha, Bruno (Fernandes), Amad… I don’t think I’d be jumping at taking any of them.
"I think they’ve got potential to go and do brilliant things, but they’ve not proved it yet so I’d go with Gravenberch."
While Liverpool has Gravenberch and Wataru Endo at the central defensive midfield positions, where Mac Allister can also play, the Reds have been linked with several names.
Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton is one name rumored alongside Monaco's Lamine Camara. One player who could be on the move is Curtis Jones, with Inter Milan reportedly considering a third bid for the Liverpool-born star.

Jones responded to rumors that he is set to join Nottingham Forest in the past 24 hours, but has not yet spoken on the Inter links, with some suggesting the player would be interested.
Liverpool.com says: Ryan Gravenberch is not joining Manchester United, obviously. He is likely to be a key man in the Reds' midfield for the next five years. And although Liverpool has heavily relied on him in recent years, they absolutely need to sign someone else for his position. I
n each of the past two years, he has struggled as the season has gone on — most likely due to fatigue. Signing another player at the position also brings versatility. Gravenberch has shown at other clubs that he's capable of advancing forward on the ball — something he can't do as the lone man in the No. 6.
