Alisson has re-emerged as a possible target for clubs in Saudi Arabia, including Brendan Rodgers’ Al Qadsiah, which could reunite him with his goalkeeper coach.
Having seen a proposed switch to Juventus fall through earlier in the summer, Alisson has been expected to head into the new campaign as Liverpool’s No. 1.
But the Brazilian is again linked with a move away from Anfield before the season starts, with talkSPORT‘s Alex Crook and Ben Jacobs covering interest from the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Ittihad, Al Qadsiah and Al-Hilal are all mentioned as potential destinations for the 33-year-old, who is currently enjoying a break with his family after the World Cup.

Two of those clubs have intriguing ties to Alisson and Liverpool, not least with Rodgers now head coach of Al Qadsiah and having recently added John Achterberg to his staff.
Achterberg served as goalkeeper coach at Liverpool for 15 years before departing for Saudi Arabia in 2024, and that saw him work closely with Alisson.
Meanwhile, Al-Hilal are expected to appoint Richard Hughes as their sporting director once the transfer window closes and his close associate Simon Francis is already leading their recruitment.

Liverpool, for their part, are insistent on keeping Alisson – as was the case when Juventus made strong overtures earlier in the summer.
talkSPORT’s report describes the club as being in a “strong position” as their goalkeeper “is not expected to agitate for a move,” knowing he retains his position as No. 1 on Merseyside.
However, while a move to the Middle East is deemed “unlikely,” it is interesting that Crook and Jacobs add that “Liverpool would require a substantial fee to change their position.”
That would suggest that a transfer is not ruled out entirely, and that given Alisson‘s contract situation – into his final year and turning 34 in October – they would consider a sale for the right price.
No price tag has been set but it is explained that any offer would need to be “well north” of the €15 million (£12.8m) previously claimed by the Italian press.
This is not the first time Alisson has been tipped to join a club in the Saudi Pro League, with interest in both 2023 and 2024 met with firm dismissals from Anfield.

Giorgi Mamardashvili arrived as Liverpool’s next long-term No. 1 last summer but has failed to fully convince when stepping in for Alisson so far.
The Georgian is among the first group back for the start of pre-season at the AXA Training Centre this week and will be given an opportunity to impress Andoni Iraola at a time when Liverpool are seeking a new goalkeeper coach.
Xavi Valero has stepped down from his position, meaning the club will need to appoint another lead in the role for the third time in as many years.
