Browns fans set low expectations for Jerry Jeudy

When the Cleveland Browns acquired WR **Jerry Jeudy** in 2024 and signed him to an extension, they were rolling the dice that they found an under-the-radar way of getting a new No. 1 receiver. For the first season, it worked. He had career highs with 90 catches for 1,227 yards and 4 touchdowns. This past season, though, it all went down the drain and then some. He finished with 50 catches for 602 yards and 2 touchdowns, but it wasn’t just a byproduct of a bad offense. Jeudy himself was the opposite of clutch, consistently making bad plays in key situations.

During last week’s Reacts question, I asked Browns fans if they thought Jeudy would bounce back in 2026 under new head coach **Todd Monken**. Usually, especially in the lead-up to the season, we have a fairly optimistic bunch of fans here. But Jeudy’s reputation took such a hit that only 39% of fans think he will bounce back.

If Jeudy struggles, Cleveland will not hesitate to give more reps to rookies **KC Concepcion** and **Denzel Boston**. Even though Cleveland’s receiving corp was touted as poor last year, there are some other guys looking to make noise too, like **Isaiah Bond** and **Malachi Corley**.

The Browns are still heavy underdogs to capture the AFC North, at 22/1 compared to the other teams, [according to FanDuel Sportsbook](https://sportsbook.fanduel.com/navigation/nfl).
