Alisson Becker is facing more transfer speculation over his future, with the Liverpool goalkeeper once again being linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
The 33-year-old is set to return to Merseyside soon following Brazil’s exit from the World Cup at the hands of Norway in the last-16. Alisson had been the subject of intense speculation linking him with Juventus earlier in the summer before the Italian club’s interest was knocked back.
Liverpool is not looking to sell Alisson, who has a year remaining on his contract after an option was triggered earlier this year to extend his stay, but new reports are now suggesting that he could be considered for a move to the Middle East.
According to talkSPORT, there is interest coming from the Saudi Pro League, with Al Ittihad among those touted as a possible destination. Alisson was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia back in 2024, and its suggested that talks could be reignited.
Al Ittihad is claimed to be open to signing another foreign goalkeeper, despite already having Serbia international Predrag Rajkovic. The Saudi Pro League has rules which limits clubs on how many foreign players they are allowed to sign.
Brendan Rodgers is also being linked with a move for Alisson. The former Liverpool boss is now in charge of Al Qadsiah, who finished fourth in last season’s Pro League.

The report though claims that Qadsiah would only sign another goalkeeper if current option Koen Casteels leaves, which is not looking to be on the cards, despite him only having a year left on his contract.
Meanwhile, Al Hilal faces a decision over Morocco international Yassine Bounou, who is gaining interest from Turkiye and Argentina, although there is no suggestion that the club is looking at Alisson at the moment, despite Liverpool’s current sporting director Richard Hughes being expected to move there after the current transfer window.
TalkSPORT does rule out one of the clubs that has been linked with Alisson, with Al Diriyah claimed to be holding an interest by some reports in the Middle East.

Despite the ongoing speculation over his future, it’s said that Alisson will not try to force through a move this summer, having been “tempted” by Juventus. Liverpool is not anticipated to change its stance on him, with it claimed that a “substantial fee” would be needed to make the Reds change their mind.

The goalkeeper will be returning to Liverpool soon for pre-season training, where he will be expected to continue as the club’s first-choice stopper ahead of Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Posting on social media following Brazil’s exit from the World Cup, Alisson wrote: "I had hoped to be writing this caption after the 19th as a world champion! But somehow, we weren't able to achieve our ultimate goal in this World Cup!
"Immediately after the defeat, the feelings of frustration and sadness are immense, accompanied by so many questions! Yet, I choose not to give in to those emotions, but rather to get back on my feet right away!”
