Inter Milan make fresh approach for Curtis Jones

Inter Milan have made a new approach to Liverpool for Curtis Jones, with an offer of €32m.

The Nerazzurri have been circling the Liverpool academy graduate for months and see him as a key piece of their summer business.

Their interest in Jones actually dates back to January, when the 25‑year‑old first emerged as a serious target and talks were opened over a potential move to San Siro.

Now the Serie A giants are continuing their bid to bring Jones to the San Siro.

Ben Jacobs has taken to X to report:

“Inter have made a new approach for Curtis Jones through intermediaries. €32m has been floated and rejected out of hand. Jones will remain unless Liverpool’s €40m+ valuation is met. Liverpool considered the first €25m bid as derisory and the second approach also dismissed.”

It comes after Andoni Iraola has publicly stated that he wants the 25-year-old to remain at the club:

“I rate Curtis very highly. For me he is a great, great player and I hope he can continue with us and continue performing the way he has been performing.”

“It’s very important that he’s Scouse, that he’s from here. I also like the personality.”

“From the outside at least he looks like a player with good character and I hope we can keep him, not only for this year but for more time.”

It’s already been suggested Liverpool are increasingly frustrated by Inter’s attempts to drive the price down, and they would rather risk losing Jones for free next summer than accept a cut‑price fee for a homegrown regular.
