New signing Lisa Baum thinks we are the perfect match for her direct, explosive style of play.
The exciting young forward has demonstrated pace, strength and power during her time at RB Leipzig, where she played last season.

Speaking at the Sobha Realty Training Centre after signing for Arsenal in her first club interview, Baum said: “I'm very happy, excited and I can't wait to get started. I like the challenge. The league is very competitive and Arsenal is a big club.
“I’m very excited to join here because I think it's also a very big place. You can compete and see on what level you stand. The way I play football, I think Arsenal is the perfect match. I just like the style of play Arsenal play.”
At the age of 19, Baum is moving to England for the first time and is looking forward to adapting to a big change.
“I’ve heard a lot about London and I'm just happy,” she said. “My heart was saying ‘I think it's the right move’, so I decided to join Arsenal and I just like to challenge myself and to compete against the top.
I’m a very direct attacker and winger. I love the 1v1. I love to dribble. I love to do skills. I think I'm also dynamic. I'm very excited to meet the other teammates and just see how we get along. Every time I’ve gone to a new club, I think I’ve adapted well and quite quickly. I'm just happy to meet new people.”

Baum has already had a taste of what it’s like to play in front of a huge attendance, having represented Hamburger SV to a crowd of 57,000 for the DFB Pokal.
So how exciting is it to know she’ll get to experience a great atmosphere at Emirates Stadium in every WSL home game?
“That's so crazy! When I heard about it, and we're going to play in a big stadium with a lot of fans, that's just amazing.
“I want to lift a lot of trophies with Arsenal. I think that's the most exciting part, but also to develop as a club, as a player, for sure, and just take the next step in women's football.”
