West Ham player’s agents travel for transfer – Offer also in for Chelsea player

AS Roma are desperate to make attacking additions and their quest to do so involves Chelsea and West Ham.

The Giallorossi were keen on Mason Greenwood but the Englishman is set to join Fenerbahce. With the Italian side in the Champions League, they remain interested in signing wide players to satisfy manager Gian Piero Gasperini.

Some weeks ago, it appeared as though they would get out-priced for a move for West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville.

This led to Sport Witness covering their interest in Chelsea’s Alejandro Garnacho. At that point, there was uncertainty if a deal could go through, but Roma are now pushing for not just the Argentine but the Dutchman as well.

Big push incoming

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Roma were never really concrete Greenwood, may be a face saving exercise.

A bidhas been made for Garnacho. Roma have offered Chelsea a €5m loan fee with a €35m option to buy. This will become an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.

Diego Moreira is also a target and they have offered Strasbourg a €30m fee plus a 10% future resale. Chelsea are involved on this table too, due to the common ownership between the Blues and the Ligue 1 side.

Now, Jorge Mendes is at work to convince Behdad Eghbali to accept those offers.

At the same, West Ham star Summerville’s agents are in Rome and will meet the Giallorossi regarding the Hammers’ attacker today.

Deal with Chelsea likely easier

As things stand, West Ham could get a better deal for Summerville. The Netherlands star did reasonably well at the World Cup and that has helped him attract more attention.

That is why the Hammers will wait for more money than what Roma can pay.

The same can’t be said for Chelsea, especially in Garnacho’s case. Considering how last season went, they could struggle to find suitors for the Argentine.
