Arsenal Women have confirmed the signing of Germany U23 winger Lisa Baum from RB Leipzig.

She made 26 appearances and scored six goals in her one season with the Frauen Bundesliga club.

Previously she helped Hamburger SV secure two promotions in three years to rise from the German third division to the Bundesliga, making 68 appearances and scoring 21 goals.

At international level, she has represented Germany through the age groups, rising from U17 to U23 level.

Director of Women’s Football Clare Wheatley told www.arsenal.com: “We’re delighted to complete the signing of Lisa. One of the most highly rated young wingers in Europe, Lisa has a high ceiling and we feel this is the perfect place for her to develop and thrive. We look forward to watching her journey here with us at Arsenal.”

Head Coach Renée Slegers said: “Lisa is a young wide forward who will bring direct intent and athleticism to our attacking group. At 19, she is still developing and we believe she has huge potential, which we will support her to achieve. We welcome her to Arsenal and look forward to the road ahead together.”
