'My information...' - Journalist says Arsenal bid for 'explosive' star set to be accepted

Arsenal are on the verge of completing their second signing of the summer, according to reports from European media.

The Gunners are looking to build on a hugely successful season in 2025/26 where they won the Premier League for the first time since 2004, while they also reached the Carabao Cup and Champions League finals.

Mikel Arteta has already added goalkeeper Illan Meslier to the squad as cover for David Raya and Kepa Arrizabalaga, while Leandro Trossard has been allowed to move to Turkish outfit Besiktas for around £17m. But now the Spanish boss is set to welcome a new forward to his squad as his replacement.

Arsenal Bid for Tzolis To Be Accepted

According to a report by journalist Dimitris Manakos, Arsenal are set to table a formal offer for Club Brugge forward Christs Tzolis imminently, and it is expected to be accepted.

Tzolis, who has been described as 'explosive', enjoyed a fine campaign for the Belgian outfit last season, registering 22 goals and 29 assists across all competitions, which has attracted the attention of a number of top clubs across Europe.

But the Gunners have been in talks with Club Brugge for a number of months, and it's understood that has been a key factor in getting a deal over the line ahead of their rivals.

Tzolis has already made it clear that he is only interested in a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer amid their interest being formalised, and Arsenal are now preparing to pay the €40m (£34m) it would take to strike an agreement.

Arsenal are keen on a number of additions this summer, and Tzolis is not expected to arrive instead of Morgan Rogers or Bradley Barcola, who are also being eyed up for the attacking roles in Arteta's squad for next season.

Arsenal Ready to Go Big in Transfer Window

Mikel Arteta

After a hugely successful season last time around, Arsenal are not ready to rest on their laurels and want to go again, which is why they're ready to go big in the window once more.

A number of departures are expected as a result to freshen things up, with Trossard's exit opening the door for Tzolis' arrival. But the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Ethan Nwaneri, and Ben White are all first-team stars who are likely to be on the move, and that will free up funds for more arrivals.

Andrea Berta has been hard at work, as usual, to give the Premier League champions the best chance of strengthening the squad, and it has paid off perfectly with this deal for one of Europe's top young prospects.
