This month, ESPN.com has been releasing their lists of top 10 players by position as voted on by executives, coaches and scouts. Based on the results of these lists, it’s no surprise the Packers have been a team that hasn’t won a division in five years and have gotten in the NFC playoffs as the 7th and last team the past three seasons.
On Monday, Jordan Love was left off the top 10 quarterbacks list. He was mentioned as honorable mention.

Today, the off-ball linebackers list was released with 3rd-year linebacker Edgerrin Cooper being ranked 9th. Previous Packers players to be ranked or given honorable mention status for their position: Quarterback - Jordan Love, honorable mention; Edge Rusher - Micah Parson, #2 overall; Tight End - Tucker Kraft, #6 overall; Running back - Josh Jacobs, honorable mention.
There are two lists left with safety and wide receivers still to be revealed. It’s likely Xavier McKinney will be ranked in the top 10 safeties in the league, but not likely a wide receiver cracks the top 10. It is possible Christian Watson or Jayden Reed gets honorable mention status.
There were no Packers ranked at offensive tackle, interior offensive line, interior defensive line or cornerback.
Jordan Love, quarterback
Love is entering his 4th season, coming off his lowest totals for touchdowns and yards in his career, but he did have a career-best six interceptions in 2025. Love also had his best passer rating of his career with a 101.2 and completion percentage of 66.3% last season.
However, it is likely Love not being on the top 10 list of quarterbacks has more to do with the Packers lack of playoff success in the last three seasons. Even though the reality is, Love had a 323-yard, four touchdown performance against the Bears in last year’s playoff game. He was not the reason the Packers lost that game.

Josh Jacobs, running back
Jacobs also made the list as honorable mention. In 2024, Jacobs had his second best season of his career, finishing with 1329 yards rushing and a career-best 15 touchdowns. Because of age and injury, Jacobs’ yardage total fell to 929 yards last season, but he still had 13 rushing touchdowns. He’s proved to be very reliable inside the 5-yard line, being the Packers’ best option on goal-to-go offense.

Tucker Kraft, tight end
Kraft was ranked 6th among tight ends as he was on pace to his best season before his season-ending knee injury in Game 8 against the Carolina Panthers. In just 8 games, Kraft had 32 catches for 489 yards and six touchdown catches. In a full season in 2024, he had 50 catches for 707 yards and seven touchdown catches.
Kraft should be a featured player in Matt LaFleur’s offense this season. His blocking ability allows LaFleur to play him almost every down and be a threat to both throw or run the ball on any given play.

Micah Parsons, Edge Rusher
Parsons is the highest ranked Packers player on ESPN’s lists. He’s ranked second among pass rushers behind last year’s defensive player of the year Myles Garrett. Last season, Parsons proved to be worth everything the Packers gave up in their trade with the Cowboys. He’s among the most versatile defensive players in the entire NFL as he can line up all over the defensive front as both a defensive end and a linebacker.
Despite missing the last three games last season, Parsons once again topped the 12 sack mark, finishing with 12.5 sacks, the most by a Packers player since Zadarius Smith had 12.5 in 2020.
It will be fascinating to see how new defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon uses Parsons. When Gannon was with the Eagles in 2022, he helped Haason Reddick have a career high 16 sacks, as he was used similarly to how Parsons will likely be used by Gannon.

Micah Parsons, Green Bay Packers: "Elite burst and closing speed to make plays. [He] has the most rush versatility of the group. Consistently wins over centers and guards and tackles, it doesn't matter where he is," a veteran NFL defensive coach said.
"There are two guys that never really get blocked in the NFL, and it's those two guys -- Myles and Micah," an NFL coordinator said. "You do what you can with movements and quick game, and it's not enough."

Edgerrin Cooper, linebacker
Cooper makes ESPN’s list as the 9th ranked off-ball linebacker. He enters his 3rd season as the likely featured off-ball linebacker now with the departure of Quay Walker. Cooper made more splash plays as a rookie finishing with 3.5 sacks and an interception, compared to last season when he finished with just a half sack. He did increase his tackles to 118, which were second to Walker.
His ranking on ESPN's list is likely due to Cooper’s potential to be a Pro Bowl level player because of the speed he plays with. Cooper is one of the league’s fastest linebackers. How will that translate over to Gannon’s defense which likely will have more standing up linebackers than did Jeff Hafley’s.
