The Buffalo Bills aren't in a position to turn down a chance with a new wide receiver.
On Monday, the New York Jets placed WR Quentin Skinner on waivers. On Tuesday, the Bills claimed him.
Skinner will be a longshot to make the roster, but he's got a bit of intrigue to his overall profile.
For starters, Skinner measures 6-foot-5, and he's 24 years old.

He played in just one game for the Jets during the 2025 regular season, his first in the league, and caught one pass for 10 yards.
Originally from the state of Oklahoma, Skinner spent his entire college career at Kansas playing for the Jayhawks.
After a non-descript freshman year, he had three very similar seasons:
2022: 26 catches for 440 yards and 5 TDs
2023: 29 catches for 587 yards and 2 TDs
2024: 25 catches for 557 yards and 4 TDs
Skinner's 22.3 yards per catch in 2024 led the Big 12.

For his career, he played 49 games and had 80 catches for 1,584 yards and 11 scores. That works out to 19.8 yards per catch.
The Bills will be wanting an up-close look to see if the big-play potential suggested by those stats is something Skinner has any chance to bring to the NFL.
It might not be, but it's worth the low-risk move to get Skinner in the building and see. There's pretty much no negative outcome here for Buffalo, and there's a (small) chance they just brought aboard a playmaking 6-foot-5 wideout.
