Carlos Ramirez will no longer serve as an NBC Sports Bay Area host, he announced on social media on Sunday.
“It’s hard to put into words what the past four and a half years meant to me,” Ramirez said in a post on X. “I had the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream, working alongside some of the most talented people in sports media, and calling the Bay Area home.”
Ramirez hosted regional sports network’s pre- and post-game shows for the San Francisco Giants, but shifted in recent years primarily to San Francisco 49ers programs while also chipping in on Sacramento Kings and Athletics shows since he joined the network full time in 2022.
Ramirez is bilingual and would often host interviews with Spanish-speaking athletes for NBC Sports Bay Area.
Ramirez also does play-by-play for the San Jose Earthquakes and Major League Soccer on Apple TV, according to his LinkedIn profile.

In his social media post, Ramirez teased his next career step, saying “a new chapter begins and I can’t wait to share more about it with all of you very soon.”
