Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix has a lot of fans.
Colin Cowherd is one of them.
The biggest national radio voice in the country has supported Nix throughout his career. Cowherd is also tight with Broncos head coach Sean Payton, so in a way it makes sense.
But Cowherd isn’t just propping up Nix as a favor to Payton. He seems to really believe in him.
And Nix’s name came up on Cowherd’s show “The Herd” on Tuesday in a roundabout way.

He was reacting to Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson being a shockingly low No. 69 on the NFL’s top-100 players list. In fact, Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton topped Jackson at No. 68 overall.
In Cowherd’s opining about Jackson, Bo Nix was mentioned and paid a nice compliment. The key quote in the tweet below comes at the 3:55 mark.
"I no longer trust Lamar Jackson in a big spot. I'm selling my stock… I'd take Bo Nix today in a 4th quarter come from behind situation over Lamar"@colincowherd and the NFL players are OUT on Lamar Jackson pic.twitter.com/IHNRHlF4Z4

Cowherd says in a fourth quarter, comeback situation he’d take Bo Nix over Lamar Jackson. He also mentions Nix going “toe to toe” with Josh Allen in the playoffs. The Broncos beat the Bills in the divisional round, but unfortunately Nix broke his ankle and missed the AFC Title Game.

And Nix had some memorable comebacks in 2025, highlighted by storming back against the defending champion Eagles on the road and an absurd rally against the Giants at Empower Field at Mile High.
Does this mean Cowherd thinks Nix is better than Jackson? He never flat out says that, but in the clutch, he leans towards the Broncos QB.
The national media seems to still be sleeping on Nix, but Cowherd isn’t one of those folks. Kudos to him for being ahead of the curve, as Bo Nix has his eyes on an MVP and a Super Bowl in 2026.
