MORE OF BERNARD TRAINING
The Steelers failed to land a wide receiver in the first round this year, but they traded up in the second round to select Germie Bernard. While DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman Jr. figure to be the team’s top two wide receivers, Bernard still has a chance to contribute. Coaches and teammates have been impressed with what they’ve seen from him so far.
Bernard has also been training hard while not with the Steelers. He was seen training with Route God, who has worked with many NFL receivers. Route God recently shared another video of Bernard training with him, too. The rookie is doing what he can to earn the No. 3 receiver job.
FRANCE TERRIBLE TOWEL
The Steelers made history last year by playing in the NFL’s first regular-season game in Ireland. This year, they will do something similar. They’ll face the New Orleans Saints in the league’s first regular-season game in Paris, France. While the Steelers will be the “away” team this time around, it should still be an exciting event.
The team has created a new Terrible Towel for the Paris game, too, as the Steelers Pro Shop posted on Twitter. It could be a fun piece of memorabilia for Steelers fans to own, especially if they’re attending the game.
DANIEL JONES’ INJURY UPDATE
Quarterback Daniel Jones had an unexpectedly good season for the Indianapolis Colts last season. Unfortunately, he only played in 13 games, suffering a serious Achilles injury near the end of the year. While he re-signed with the Colts this offseason, it’s unclear when he’ll be ready to play.
However, Jones recently shared an update on his injury, as James Boyd posted on Twitter. Jones stated that he’s “cleared to do everything,” which looks good for his chances of returning quickly. The Steelers will play the Colts in Week 5, so Jones might have a chance to play.
#Colts QB Daniel Jones on his Achilles rehab: “I’m doing everything. Cleared to do everything. I think it’s just about, at this point, sharpening that.”
Does he still think about his Achilles? “You’re still thinking about it. I think (you) probably will until you get playing.” pic.twitter.com/7RQkZop8RY
