Liverpool and Manchester United are both keeping tabs on Roma midfielder Manu Kone, according to reports in the Italian media.
The Corriere Dello Sport claims that both clubs will “follow” the player’s situation amid reports that the France international could be sold before the end of the transfer window.
Roma need to balance the books to comply with UEFA Financial Fair Play rules, and Kone is seen as one of the most saleable assets.

Even so, the Serie A side will not let him leave the Stadio Olimpico for below their asking price.
How much could Kone cost?
The Corriere Dello Sport report that Roma have already rejected one offer for the midfielder in recent weeks. Atletico Madrid tabled a bid in the region of €40m (£34m), but the proposal was deemed unacceptable.
It is believed that Kone’s price tag is now €60m (£51m), having impressed whilst performing for France at the World Cup.

Respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has said that sporting director Richard Hughes is looking at potential options to strengthen the midfield.
An enquiry was reportedly made for Mateus Fernandes a few weeks ago before the Portuguese international joined Tottenham for £85m.
Kone is likely to be one of the other names under consideration, but a sale may need to happen before anyone is brought in.
Curtis Jones looks the most likely to depart, with Italian champions Inter Milan pushing hard to secure his signature. The Reds are said to have turned down another offer worth €32m (£27m) for the 25-year-old.
Head coach Andoni Iraola has made it clear that he would like to keep hold of Jones, but with the player in the last year of his contract, he could still be sold before the start of the season.
