FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours and gossip from 15 July, including the latest updates on Andreas Schjelderup, Pep Chavarria and Alex Scott.
Schjelderup wants to leave Benfica
Norway star Andreas Schjelderup is flirting with a move away from Benfica, as per A Bola.
The 22-year-old is in the form of his life after starring at the World Cup and wants to secure a major transfer this summer. He has two years left on his contract and has yet to respond to Benfica's extension offer.
His exploits have attracted the attention of Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham. Benfica will not entertain offers below €40 million, and they feel that they are in a strong negotiating position due to his €100m release clause.

Chelsea have warned Rayo Vallecano that they could walk away from the talks over left-back Pep Chavarria, TEAMtalk claims.
New manager Xabi Alonso has requested that the 28-year-old be signed, but reports emerged on Monday that Chelsea were upset with Rayo's conduct. The Blues asserted that the Spanish club had "moved the goal-posts" during talks over a fee.
Rayo are said to have initially asked for €15m, only to then turn around and demand €25m. Chelsea don't want to overpay for the full-back and are ready to pull the plug on the deal if the gap on his valuation can't be bridged.
Man Utd's midfield options
Man Utd currently have four midfield options after cancelling the signing of Atalanta star Ederson, The Athletic reports.
The Red Devils pulled out of a €45m deal for the Brazilian due to a potential long-term knee issue, but they nevertheless plan to sign a third midfielder after Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans.
Alex Scott (Bournemouth), Felix Nmecha (Borussia Dortmund), Carlos Baleba (Brighton) and Sander Berge (Fulham) are on the club's shortlist, while they have given up hope of signing Aurelien Tchouameni after he agreed a new Real Madrid contract.
Garnacho talks heating up

AS Roma are stepping up their transfer talks over potential winger signings, including Chelsea attacker Alejandro Garnacho, according to Di Marzio.
The Argentine is a key target for the Serie A giants, but Roma would prefer an initial loan with a permanent element, while Chelsea want an outright sale. An opening offer has been made consisting of a €5m loan fee and a €35m purchase option that could become mandatory,
Meanwhile, Roma are also in discussions with Chelsea owners BlueCo over a deal for Strasbourg winger Diego Moreira. A €30m bid has been made for him. Another target is West Ham star Crysencio Summerville, who is also on the radar of Chelsea and Man Utd.
Valdepenas surprise
Real Madrid youngster Victor Valdepenas is set for a permanent move to Fiorentina, Fabrizio Romano understands.
The Serie A side are showing major ambition in the transfer market under former Spurs director Fabio Paratici, and they have reached an €8m agreement for the Spaniard, while Real Madrid retain a 50% sell-on clause as well as a buy-back option.
Valdepenas had previously been heavily linked with Arsenal and Eintracht Frankfurt. The Gunners had been closely scouting the versatile 19-year-old defender since at least early 2025.
