Some interesting claims from Egypt have emerged suggesting Mohamed Salah would be open to joining a Premier League side this summer.
Speculation surrounding Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool future has been simmering for months, but with his international commitments now out of the way the situation could accelerate.
With Liverpool already preparing for life after their former talisman, clubs across Europe, Saudi Arabia and MLS are jostling for position, and fresh claims from Egypt suggest the Premier League may yet remain part of his story.

Over the past few months, Salah has repeatedly indicated that he would only decide his future once the World Cup was out of the way, stressing that he had “a lot of options” on the table after leaving Liverpool.
That point has now arrived.
Saudi Pro League sides such as Al-Ittihad and other clubs in the Kingdom will always be around. At the same time, Italian giants Roma and Juventus have explored a deal, although they don’t have the finances to compete.
Sporting Kansas City have emerged as a leading candidate, even though competition from Saudi Arabia remains fierce. San Diego FC have also been linked due to their ownership’s Egyptian ties.
But it appears there could be a Premier League angle. Journalist Ahmed Darwish, relayed by Al-Horia, claim that should Chelsea make an offer for Salah – he would give them priority.
Darwish explained that the only Premier League side capable of convincing Salah to stay in England is his former club Chelsea, stressing that any offer from the Blues would carry extra weight if he chooses to continue his career in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, while Beşiktaş has been mentioned, club president Serdar Adali said this week that they were not going to be moving for him:
“It is not true that we are interested in signing Mohamed Salah this summer,” Adali said.
The 34-year-old had been deliberately vague about his club future, saying ahead of the World Cup: “I still need to see what happens. I have time now. I’m going to the World Cup, and after that everything will be decided”.
