Leaked: Liverpool’s 2026/27 white away kit to feature Red shorts

Liverpool’s new away kit for the upcoming season will see the team don red shorts, according to the latest leaked images.

As is often the case, there are few secrets when it comes to the look of a new kit due to various leaks, and Liverpool’s away strip is no different.

It is white with red detailing, but what makes it unique is the pattern across the front, which is inspired by ticket stub designs from the 1970s.

The shorts have a retro-inspired crease, as per the reliable Footy Headlines, but while they released images of white shorts to match the top, new leaks have shown the shirt accompanied by red shorts.

The latest leak via Opaleak shows an ‘official’ photo of the new Adidas white away shirt accompanied by red shorts and white socks:

The club’s 1990s badge on the shirt and shorts match, as does the classic Trefoil Adidas logo.

The choice of red shorts will be divisive, but it could be a case that Liverpool have both red and white options and occasionally mix it up as they did in a similar kit in 1985/86.

Take a look at this image of Jan Molby (left) for reference; he certainly pulls off the red shorts, while Ronnie Whelan (right) models the white shorts:

Notably, though, the red shorts will almost certainly be donned by the women’s team, following a wider movement where clubs abandoned white shorts due to concerns about periods.

The kit is expected to be launched this month, and that is when we will see it in its entirety on the players for the first time – with red or white shorts, or even both!
