BILD have revealed a potential boost for Liverpool’s chances of signing Yan Diomande this summer.
Yan Diomande’s situation has taken another twist, with BILD in Germany suggesting a Liverpool move may have received an unexpected boost as the World Cup dust settles.
While RB Leipzig remain adamant he will stay, the combination of Liverpool’s rejected offer, PSG’s pull and the player’s own stance has created a tense stand-off.

In recent weeks Liverpool have emerged as one of the most aggressive suitors, lodging an opening proposal worth around 80 million euros plus up to 20 million euros in add‑ons – a package effectively taking the deal close to nine figures.
Leipzig knocked that back, with their hierarchy briefing that Diomande will remain at the club next season and privately valuing him at well over 120 million euros.
At the same time, multiple reports in France and Germany have maintained that Diomande’s preferred move, if he does leave, would be to Paris Saint‑Germain.
According to the latest BILD reporting, however, the landscape has shifted slightly after the World Cup, with Diomande now believed to have given his basic “yes” to several of Europe’s giants – including Liverpool.
Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have all reportedly been told he would be willing to join them, but the strongest and most concrete interest still centres on Liverpool and PSG:
“Diomande has given his commitment to a move to several clubs behind the scenes. At least Liverpool, Paris and the two clubs from Manchester assume that they are in pole position,” it’s reported.
It marks a difference from the briefings that PSG was his outright destination this summer.
There are human elements underpinning that stance too. Leipzig are said to have built huge trust with Diomande’s camp after supporting his family during a serious illness, something the player has not forgotten and which could temper how hard he pushes for an exit.
New coach Martín Demichelis has also made it a priority to sit down with Diomande on his return from holiday.
