Since we're in full swing ranking season I went looking around to see what people thought of Klint Kubiak, particularly for his status as an OC. There aren't alot of people doing coach/OC rankings so I did have to dig into last summer to find some data, and it honestly surprised me a bit.
There were alot of people calling Klint this years Ben Johnson during the coaching carousel but I was only able to find one place where Klint was ranked top 10 as an OC (compared to Ben who has been considered a top 5 play caller for years). Most people doing rankings for this year seem to have Klint around 12-15, and even more surprising is last year most people seemed to have him in the mid to low 20s! Most of the complaints from analytics people seem to be that he has never had a good running game and that last year was just a one off.
So how does the nation feel? Any worries about Klint as a play caller?
