Ever since Curt Cignetti has been the head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers, he has been finding a lot of talent in the transfer portal. One player who is expected to be a major contributor in the offense this season is wide receiver Nick Marsh. He played for the Michigan State Spartans last season in the BIG10 Conference as well.
Indiana’s Nick Marsh (11) is tackled by Jaylen Bell (3) during the Indiana football spring game at Memorial Stadium on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
Marsh and Charlie Becker could be one of the best wide receiver tandems in the conference this season. With Michigan State last season, he caught 59 passes for 662 yards receiving and six touchdowns, along with averaging 11.2 yards per reception. Marsh is 6’3″ and weighs 203 lbs. He also rushed for 11 yards on three carries and zero touchdowns, along with averaging 3.7 yards per carry.
Indiana Hoosiers WR Nick Marsh Expected to Climb Up Draft Boards in 2027
Indiana’s Nick Marsh (11) during spring football practice at Memorial Stadium on Thursday, April 9, 2026.
Dane Brugler of the Athletic listed the top wide receiver prospects for the 2027 NFL Draft. Marsh of Indiana is projected to be one of the top wide receiver prospects in the 2027 NFL Draft. He was ranked fourth on Brugler’s list. Brugler said about him,
“Marsh does a lot of things well. His initial movements off the line are decisive and deliberate. He is very controlled with his route-running steps and deftly uses his hands to escape coverage. But the most common theme from each tape is his physicality.
Listed at 6-3, 213, Marsh is a commanding presence because of his competitive energy, galloping strides and physicality. It shows in his routes, in his blocking and especially after the catch. With the ball in his hands, Marsh is a chore for tacklers to get on the ground. He ranked No. 3 in the FBS last season with 28 forced missed tackles, including a few on this touchdown versus Boston College:”
His physical presence is what stands out here. Marsh and Becker are going to be potential nightmares for other cornerbacks across the conference and the college football landscape. There will be a lot of pressure on quarterback Josh Hoover to get them both the football this season. Marsh will also be in a better environment with Indiana than he would have been with Michigan State.
