Adams hauled in 60 receptions on 114 targets for 789 yards and 14 touchdowns in the regular season, along with 11 receptions on 24 targets for 185 yards and one touchdown in the playoffs. He also posted nine drops, gained 161 yards after the catch, averaged 14 yards per target depth, scored 12 touchdowns in the red zone, and recorded a 106.8 passer rating when targeted.
The 33-year-old Davante Adams enters the final year of his deal and is scheduled to earn an $18 million base salary, $6 million guaranteed for being on the roster past March 15, and $24 million in cash, while carrying a $28 million cap hit. Los Angeles reportedly engaged in trade talks for the six-time Pro Bowler, but it ultimately fell through. Adams is expected to serve as the No. 2 option behind Puka Nacua.

Voters ranked Davante Adams as the tenth-best receiver, highlighting the connection he had with Matthew Stafford on go balls and back-shoulder throws and leading the NFL in receiving touchdowns despite missing the final three regular-season games. One NFC executive said that despite Adams’ decline in athleticism, his instincts and route-running prowess remain at the age of 33.
“The only top-10 receiver in his 30s, Adams secured the last spot on the list despite producing his lowest receiving yardage total (789) since 2015. But look what he did for Matthew Stafford. The two had an easy connection on go balls and back-shoulder throws. Stafford threw 14 touchdowns to Adams on his way to the MVP award.
“‘His instincts and route running are still there even as his athletic traits have declined,’ an NFC exec said. ‘He just knows how to get open.’
“Adams became the third player since 1940 to lead the league in receiving touchdowns despite missing at least three games. The last was Jerry Rice in the strike-shortened 1987 season.”
