Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba had a massive third season in the NFL. He caught 119 passes for 1,793 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns, along with averaging 15.1 yards per reception. Smith-Njigba also rushed for 36 yards on seven carries, along with averaging 5.1 yards per carry. He did not record a single rushing touchdown, and he was targeted 163 times in the passing game.

Smith-Njigba was the most reliable target for quarterback Sam Darnold last season. He is 24 years old and has a chance to be one of the best wide receivers in the league for the next decade. The Seahawks won the Super Bowl last season.

Smith-Njigba was ranked as the third-best wide receiver in the NFL entering the 2026 NFL season by espn.com. It will be interesting to see what he can do for an encore this season. Many different coordinators, coaches, executives, and others interviewed with ESPN.com NFL Insider Jeremy Fowler about the top wide receivers in the NFL. One NFL Coordinator said about Smith-Njigba,
“He reminds me so much of Cooper Kupp‘s tremendous performance in 2021, only JSN is better on the outside than him. Love his game. Relentless. Smooth. Competitor. He’s not the elite outside player those top guys are.”
Smith-Njigba is a beast. He was first in receiving yards last season and fourth in receptions. There is a good chance that the Seahawks star wide receiver will have a similar kind of year in 2026 for this franchise.
