Arsenal are expected to make progress on a deal to sign Club Brugge star Christos Tzolis after an agreement was reached on Leandro Trossard. The Gunners are expected to have a busy summer transfer window as they prepare for their Premier League title defence next season.
Tzolis has emerged as a player of interest to Arsenal this summer as they look to strengthen their forward options for the new campaign. However, progress on a deal for the Greece international has been hindered by the uncertainty that has surrounded Trossard’s future at the Emirates.
Arsenal confirmed earlier this week that they had shaken hands on a deal for Trossard to join Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas for £17million. “We can confirm that we have reached an agreement with Besiktas for the permanent transfer of Leandro Trossard,” Arsenal’s statement confirmed.
“With a transfer fee agreed, Leo, 31, has been granted permission to travel to Istanbul to undergo a medical and complete the formalities of his move to the Turkish Super Lig club. We will provide a further update once the transfer has been completed.”
BBC Sport reports that Brugge are braced for an offer from Arsenal for Tzolis, now that an agreement has been reached on Trossard’s future. The former Norwich City winger is thought to be valued at around £30million and is now expected to become Arsenal’s next signing of the summer.

The report claims that Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta is currently working on a deal to bring Tzolis to north London, and now it’s thought that Brugge expect the reigning Premier League champions to make an offer in the near future.
Tzolis is not the only forward to be linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, with Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers and Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola also targets.
There has also been interest in Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi, as Arsenal brace themselves for a busy summer transfer window that could see them have a major revamp of their forward options.
