England’s starting XI for World Cup semi-final vs Argentina ‘leaked’ - Arsenal star benched

England's starting lineup to face Argentina in Wednesday night's World Cup semi-final has been leaked, with the biggest news being that Bukayo Saka has been dropped for the mouth-watering tie.

The Three Lions are well-placed to reach a second successive major tournament final after their come-from-behind victory over Norway on the weekend. But they will will need to do so without a recognised right-winger, with Morgan Rogers given the nod to start there in Atlanta, Georgia.

Of course, Jude Bellingham - England's hero on many occasions this summer - starts, as does all-time top goalscorer Harry Kane, with other nailed-down starters including Jordan Pickford and Marc Guehi.

As per Sami Mokbel of the BBC, England will line up as follows (see below):

"Jordan Pickford; Ezri Konsa, John Stones, Marc Guehi, Nico O’Reilly; Declan Rice, Elliot Anderson; Morgan Rogers, Jude Bellingham, Anthony Gordon; Harry Kane."

The decision to start Rogers ahead of Saka and Noni Madueke appears to be a tactical one from Tuchel. But with so much talk among pundits about England's ability to beat their higher-ranking opponents because of their pace in the wide areas, the huge call could suggest the boss knows something else that nobody else does.

For Aston Villa, Rogers loves to drift into the central spaces, meaning he and Bellingham could effectively be playing the same role either side of Kane at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. If the match wasn't already set up for an intriguing watch, it really is now.
