Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has been in the NFL for the six seasons. He has gone over 1,000 or more yards in of those six. During the 2025 NFL season, Jefferson caught 84 passes for 1,048 yards receiving, and two touchdowns, along with averaging 12.5 yards per reception. He was targeted 141 times. Jefferson is 27 years old and is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (18) is tackled by Green Bay Packers safety Kitan Oladapo (27) during the first quarter of their game Sunday, January 4, 2026 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The quarterback situation was not ideal last year for him. Having to deal with Carson Wentz, Max Brosmer, and J.J. McCarthy was a nightmare, after having Sam Darnold on the roster for the 2024 NFL season. This season, hopefully Kyler Murray will win the starting job over McCarthy. This will probably make life easier for head coach Kevin O’Connell and Jefferson as well. He is 27 years old and has a lot of good years left ahead of him in the NFL.
AFC Executive Has High Praise for Minnesota Vikings Wide Receiver Justin Jefferson
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (18) dives for a first down on a reception against Green Bay Packers safety Evan Williams (33) during their football game Sunday, January 4, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Jefferson is one of the top wide receivers in the NFL. He is ranked second on espn.com. An AFC Executive interviewed with ESPN.com NFL Insider Jeremy Fowler about Jefferson’s game. That AFC Executive said,
“I go by who I’d want on my team in a game or a season, and I still think he’s super talented. He’s a proven commodity that can do everything you need and can adapt to any defensive look.”
Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals are no doubt the top two wide receivers in the NFL. The Vikings star receiver is on pace to have a Mike Evans kind of career of going over 1,000 yards receiving in each NFL season of his career. Jefferson’s name is always going to be mentioned for Minnesota’s offense whenever they get onto the field during gamedays also.
