New York Jets rookie quarterback Cade Klubnik is a married man!
As the 2026 NFL offseason comes to an end, more football stars’ weddings are popping up as players strategically say “I do” before training camps commence in late July and preseason games begin in August.
Klubnik, who was selected by the Jets in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, announced his marriage to his high school sweetheart, Macey Matthews, in a joint post on Instagram on Tuesday, July 14, just over two weeks after they tied the knot in Texas.

“The Klubnik’s 🤍 06.28.2026 | The start of forever,” Matthews wrote.
The newlyweds shared eight photos from their nuptials, which took place in Austin. The photos showcased them cheering after being proclaimed husband and wife, walking hand in hand outside, and kissing next to their four-tiered wedding cake topped with cascading flowers. Matthews wore a strapless ruched gown while Klubnik sported a classic black tux.

The couple got engaged on Dec. 30, 2025, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They announced the news days later on Instagram, sharing several photos from their scenic and snowy proposal.
“12.30.25 Forever with my best friend. Our greatest answered prayer, thank you Jesus!” Matthews wrote on Jan. 3. “The Klubnik’s loading soon!🤍.”
Klubnik, 22, proposed to Matthews on bended knee with a band of dark evergreen trees and snow-covered mountains behind them. The couple appeared to be joined by family shortly after the milestone moment so that they could all celebrate together.

The former Clemson Tigers player and Matthews have been romantically linked since at least January 2020, when they first appeared on each other’s social media pages.
Klubnik wasn’t the only one from the Jets to wed this offseason. Safety Andre Cisco, safety Malachi Moore, and center Josh Myers all tied the knot too.
