RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande has emerged as one of the most sought-after teenagers in world football after an outstanding breakthrough 2025/26 season.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a remarkable campaign, scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists in 36 appearances as Leipzig finished third in the Bundesliga and secured Champions League qualification.

Yan Diomande featured for Ivory Coast at the World Cup, registering one assist in four appearances before his nation were eliminated in the round of 32 by Norway.
Speculation over his future has continued to grow, with expectations that the winger could leave Leipzig this summer.
Before the World Cup, Liverpool appeared to be leading the race for his signature, with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City also monitoring the situation.
However, according to German outlet BILD, Manchester United believe they are now in “pole position” to sign Diomande.
However, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City remain confident that they can win the race for his signature. Liverpool are the only club to have submitted a formal offer so far, but RB Leipzig rejected the Reds’ €100m bid.
While several of Diomande’s other suitors are reportedly preparing bids, none are currently willing to exceed £85million for the winger.
Leipzig, however, are determined not to sell for anything below £102million and remain confident of keeping the 19-year-old this summer.
The Bundesliga club are instead pushing to reward Diomande with an improved contract, although the Ivorian is believed to be open to a move and has reportedly given encouragement to several clubs interested in signing him.
When asked about his future during the World Cup last month, Diomande hinted that a decision would be made after the tournament.
Speaking after Ivory Coast’s 2-0 win against Cucacao, he said: “I don’t know. I’m not thinking about my future after the World Cup. I’m trying to put all my energy into the World Cup, and then I’ll see what’s happening after. I can say nothing about that.”
Liverpool’s hopes of bringing Diomande to Anfield appear to have faded, with reports suggesting the winger favours a move to Paris Saint-Germain instead.
