Scotty Miller
A seven-year NFL veteran, Miller came in later in the offseason. Miller will be duking it out with Thomas and Walker for one of the final wide receiver spots. His production hasn’t been the same since Tom Brady was throwing him the ball in 2019 and 2020, as he hasn’t cracked 200 yards in the four years since Brady’s retirement and hasn’t scored a touchdown since 2023. He also hasn’t done much in his career in the return game, with five total kickoff and punt returns to his name, so Miller will have to pop in his receiving work during training camp and the preseason to earn that coveted roster spot.
JP Richardson
Richardson is in year two with the Bears, after being an undrafted free agent with Chicago coming out of TCU in 2025. Richardson has never recorded an NFL regular-season snap and was on the practice squad last season. Unless something miraculous happens, I doubt Richardson will be on the 53-man roster and expect him to be on the practice squad.
Maurice Alexander
The former Florida International University receiver has been a near-permanent member of the practice squad since the Lions signed him as a UDFA in 2022. He did appear in four games that season, but hasn’t seen a snap when it counts since. If he does make the roster, it would be primarily in a special-teams role, but the Bears have plenty of others they can choose from for those spots. There’s an outside chance he doesn’t even make the practice squad, with Chicago signing two UDFAs this past spring: Omari Kelly and Kyron Hudson. It’s going to be a big year for Alexander’s football career.
Omari Kelly
A Big 10 alum, Kelly comes to the Bears as an undrafted free agent. He played for three different colleges over four years, spending two seasons at Auburn before transferring to Middle Tennessee State for one year, and finally ending up as a Michigan State Spartan in 2025. His last two seasons were his best at MTSU and MSU, where he put up a combined 1,495 yards on 100 catches, six touchdowns, and 14.8 yards per reception. A down 2025 at Michigan State likely led to his fall out of the draft, but there could be something here with Kelly. Undoubtedly, he will be another practice-squad player this season, with the Bears carrying only six players at the position.
Kyron Hudson
Another UDFA from the Big Ten, Hudson spent the last two years in college at USC (2024) and Penn State (2025). Hudson was looking to build on a solid 2024, going from the Trojans to the Nittany Lions, after he put up 462 yards and three touchdowns. That didn’t happen, as his numbers fell to 23 catches, 288 yards, and two touchdowns, leading to his fall out of the draft. Much like Kelly, Hudson will likely be on the practice squad, or potentially another team’s practice squad if things don’t go well for him.
Kaden Davis
The 27-year-old former UFL and USFL receiver is looking to keep his NFL career going, now going into year five. In that time, he’s played with five teams across the three leagues and made an appearance last season for the Cleveland Browns. He’s never made an NFL reception, but he does have some capability in the kicking game, with three kickoff returns for 107 yards in 2024 with Cleveland. With Kalif Raymond already on the roster, the Bears have punts and kickoffs covered so that Davis could be a practice-squad depth piece as a returner with NFL experience.
