According to the Panthers’ official announcement on Wednesday afternoon, Will Grier was placed on the reserve/retired list. In 2019, the 31-year-old was selected in the third round by the Panthers and returned to the organization during free agency.
While Grier was a rookie quarterback for Carolina, he completed 28 of his 52 throws for 228 yards and four interceptions in two games. He has not played a down in the regular season since.
Grier’s career has been spent with several teams, including stints with the Dallas Cowboys (2021-2022 and 2024-2025), Cincinnati Bengals (2023), New England Patriots (2023), Los Angeles Chargers (2023), and Philadelphia Eagles (2024).
