Dominik Szoboszlai has reportedly signed a new contract to extend his stay at Liverpool this week.
The 25-year-old was still on the deal he signed when he joined the club back in 2028.

Szoboszlai emerged as the on‑pitch leader of Arne Slot’s Liverpool during the 2025/26 campaign.
He became the player both fans and team-mates turned to whenever the team needed a lift in intensity or quality.
There had been worry and concern that he may not extend, especially with Real Madrid always lurking in the background ready to coax players on free transfers.
However, if local reports are to be believed, Reds fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
According to Hungary insider PoolBarátok, the new deal is for “at least four years”. The report has been endorsed by his compatriot and journalist Bence Bocsák.
It has been claimed that the contract was officially signed this Thursday:
“DONE DEAL Dominik signed today,” PoolBarátok wrote on Facebook.
“According to my information, an agreement has been reached between Richard Hughes and Szoboszlai Dominik. Domi signed a new, long-term contract with Kirkby today.”
“The negotiations took place at the beginning of November last year, the parties have been coordinating since then and have been approaching their positions. Meanwhile, it became clear in the summer that Dominik is the key figure of this team in every respect, he became the leader – the player of the season.”
“The agreement was signed after eight days of negotiations. The contract is for at least four years.”
It follows after the Liverpool star was handed an almost 200-square-meter mural in Hungary over the summer. It’s located near Vörösmarty Primary School, where Szoboszlai spent eight years as a student when he was younger.
Hungary did not qualify for the World Cup, and after playing virtually every minute of Liverpool’s gruelling 2025/26 campaign, Szoboszlai arrived at pre-season with deserved rest.
