Arsenal have reached a €40million (£34m) agreement with Club Brugge to sign winger Christos Tzolis, according to Greek journalist Dimitris Manakos.

Back in early June, the Gunners identified the 24-year-old as a potential replacement for Leandro Trossard. The latter has recently had a move to Besiktas confirmed which saw Mikel Arteta and Co. advance in their pursuit of Tzolis.

He has been playing in Belgium's top division for the last three seasons and ended the most recent campaign on 22 goals and 29 assists from 52 appearances.

Tzolis played the full 90 minutes of Brugge's Champions League defeat to Arsenal and despite the result, clearly made an impression.

Strengthening at left wing was a priority for Arsenal ahead of the 2026/27 season with Tzolis joined by Morgan Rogers and Bradley Barcola as other targets that can play in the position.

Despite signing Tzolis, the Premier League champions are still expected to try and sign the Aston Villa star though a move for Barcola could be complicated.

Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez is another attacker of serious interest to Arsenal and though Barcelona seems his priority, a move to Emirates Stadium and return to the Premier League for the former Manchester City star cannot be ruled out.

Piero Hincapie and Illian Meslier have already been signed this summer with the former making his loan from Bayer Leverkusen permanent.

The north Londoners are also looking to strengthen in midfield with Bruno Guimaraes appearing as their top target. The Brazil international has asked to leave Newcastle United after a challenging season for the Magpies and failure to sign top targets while many key players are also leaving.
