London City Lionesses have secured Swedish international forward Rosa Kafaji from Arsenal for an undisclosed fee.

She was part of the Arsenal squad that won the Champions League in 2025, before going on a season-long loan to Brighton whom she helped reach the Adobe Women’s FA Cup final.

Her senior career began at AIK, where she made 46 appearances and scored 19 goals, before moving to BK Häcken, where she netted 32 goals in 68 games.

Internationally, Kafaji played through the age groups and has over 15 caps for the seniors to date.

Kafaji told londoncitylionesses.com: “It’s an independent club, which is very exciting.

“I think this is a club that has high ambitions to become one of the best teams in the world, and I want to be a part of that.

“It’s going to be great to have some familiar faces, of course, Freya (Godfrey) I haven’t seen in a long time, I’ve missed her, and Kosse (Asllani) is a very caring person, so they will make it much easier for me to come into.”
