Reports emerged on Wednesday claiming Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise is keen to join Real Madrid this summer following another outstanding season in Germany.
The France international has established himself as one of the world’s most sought-after players after another exceptional campaign, capped by an impressive World Cup despite France’s 2-0 semi-final defeat to Spain.
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly been monitoring Olise closely and attended the DFB-Pokal final in May to watch him in action.
However, according to Sky Germany, there is no truth to reports linking Michael Olise with a move to Madrid. The 24-year-old has informed Bayern Munich that he wants to remain at the club and has not expressed any desire to leave.
Olise is under contract until 2029, with no release clause, and Bayern are already considering offering him an improved deal that would place him among the club’s top three earners.
Both internally and externally, the French winger is regarded as untouchable, leaving Bayern relaxed about the transfer speculation.
The Frenchman joined Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024 and has since recorded an impressive 96 goal contributions in 107 appearances.
The London-born winger also enjoyed an outstanding World Cup with France, registering six assists in seven matches. However, he was unable to prevent Les Bleus from suffering a 2-0 defeat to Spain in the semi-finals.
Following transfer speculation linking Michael Olise with a move away, Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer firmly ruled out the France international leaving the club this summer last month.
“Michael Olise is a Bayern Munich player with a long contract, and we are not a selling club,” he said. “Should Florentino Pérez be thinking about sending us an offer – which he hasn’t done so far – he should save himself the trouble.”
Former CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge also explained Bayern’s position, saying: “For a player like Olise, there is no price that would tempt us.”
Over the past few seasons, Olise has consistently demonstrated his ability to influence games with his dribbling and creativity. His skill in breaking defensive lines, creating openings, and delivering in key moments would add another attacking dimension to any club’s forward line.
