Watch: Cowboy’s Jerry Jones Boo’d Ruthlessly At World Cup Match

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is one of the most well known names in the NFL. His consistent appearances with media, podcasts, and television shows keeps the headlines flowing. Throw in the fact that he owns one of the most recognizable sports teams in the world makes him one of the most followed business men in America.

However, when he was seen on the big screen, fans weren’t too impressed.

World Cup Jumbotron Shows Jerry Jones

Tuesday afternoon’s World Cup semifinal was played at Jones’ AT&T Stadium. Spain and France facedd off at Jones’ stadium, known by FIFA as Dallas Stadium.

Throughout this World Cup, Dallas owner Jerry Jones has kept close contact with FIFA leaders. During this contest he gave up his suite inside his $1 billion stadium to members of FIFA.

Still, Jones made an appearance at Tuesday’s game, sitting in a different seat. There were, however, boos from some in the crowd when the owner of the Dallas Cowboys was presented on the video board:

Despite Jones’ lack of postseason success over the past 25 years or so, it’s still surprising to hear him booed in his own stadium.

It should be noted that the stadium likely wasn’t packed with Dallas Cowboys fans on Tuesday. From across the country and around the world, thousands of people traveled to Texas to watch the game. That in-of-itself makes it even more confusing.
