Arsenal loanee Charles Sagoe Jr has emerged as a target for a permanent move to AIK this summer according to Expressen.
Sagoe Jr, who turns 22 later this month, is Arsenal’s only current loanee and has impressed in Sweden with Kalmar, where his temporary deal is set to run until the end of this calendar year.
So far Sagoe Jr has scored once and provided seven assists in 12 league games. Mainly a winger but also capable of playing up front, he also scored for Kalmar in the Swedish Cup.
It had been anticipated that Kalmar would consider signing Sagoe Jr permanently if he continued to impress on loan but they may now find themselves beaten to the chase by another Swedish side in Kalmar.
Sagoe Jr, who joined Arsenal’s academy in 2015, made his competitive senior debut for the Gunners against Brentford in 2023. He has featured prominently for Arsenal at youth level and has also spent time on loan at Shrewsbury and Swansea.
