Liverpool are yet to replace Mohamed Salah this summer and have only welcomed Victor Munoz and Jeremy Jacquet thus far. The Egyptian isn't the only free agent who left the club, either.

A new era at Anfield is upon us with Salah now gone and Andy Robertson also no longer a Red. The two-time Premier League-winning left-back has joined Tottenham on a free transfer.

This duo, alongside defender Ibrahima Konate, will be sorely missed by Andoni Iraola's side, which has made only two signings so far in the ongoing window in the form of World Cup finalist Munoz and Jacquet.

Both Robertson and Konate have found new clubs and, whilst Salah is yet to make a decision, another former Liverpool star who was handed his debut by Jurgen Klopp has chosen his next destination. The ECHO brings you the latest Reds transfer developments.

Former Reds defender secures French move

Ex-Liverpool star Yasser Larouci has secured a new club after he left Troyes as a free agent. Larouci arrived at the Reds from Le Havre in 2017 and featured in the 2019 FA Youth Cup-winning squad.

The wing-back made his senior debut under Jurgen Klopp in 2020, coming on as a substitute for the injured James Milner during an FA Cup victory over Everton. However, he struggled to establish himself in the first team and departed as a free agent in 2021.

Larouci then returned to France with Troyes and has since had loan spells at Sheffield United, Watford and Greek club Kifisia in recent campaigns.

With his Troyes contract expired, he has now signed for Le Mans. The French club earned promotion to Ligue 1 last season and Larouci represents their third summer acquisition.

Mohamed Salah MLS update

Elsewhere, Salah's future remains largely uncertain, though it has emerged that Major League Soccer sides are understood to be leading contenders. In particular, Sporting Kansas City's name has been mentioned.

During a press conference this week, the club's president of soccer operations, David Lee, was questioned about whether his side were pursuing Salah. He declined to dismiss the prospect and did give a rather telling answer.

Lee stated: "I'm not going to share anything on individual players, whether those players are under contract or not. I'm not going to get into the habit of talking about individual players.

"We are interested in really good players. So anyone we think can be a fit for us and is going to fit what we would like to do, we have an interest in and would like to have a conversation with."
