Arsenal transfer target Christos Tzolis

Arsenal are edging closer to signing Club Brugge’s Christos Tzolis this summer.

The winger has starred for the Jupiler Pro League side since joining them from Fortuna Düsseldorf in 2024. He’s managed 43 goals and 45 assists, and 22 goals and 29 assists were from last season.

Arsenal, Atlético Madrid, AS Roma and Borussia Dortmund have all shown interest.

Two days ago, Sport Witness covered claims from Belgium that the Gunners are the only one to contact Club Brugge.

On Thursday, we relayed news the Greek international only wants to join the Premier League winners, which impressed Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal agreement in place

De Standaard now states the 24-year-old is on his way to the Emirates for €40m without bonuses. Transfermarkt also value him at €40m.

Atlético Madrid, AS Roma and Borussia Dortmund have shown interest, but Arsenal have won the race to sign him. In fact, the ‘transfer is as good as done’.

Christos Tzolis favouring the north London club has made it easier for them. He will replace Leandro Trossard, who left the Gunners for Beşiktaş earlier this week.

Another Belgian newspaper, Het Belang van Limburg, also states Tzolis’ ‘transfer is as good as done’.

Arsenal sorting out last details

Club Brugge have reached a full agreement with Arsenal for €40m excluding bonuses. He will sign a long-term contract at the Emirates, after completing the transfer formalities.

Discussions are ongoing between the parties, and this is ‘merely a formality’. Mikel Arteta’s side are sorting out the final details, and this shouldn’t take long.

HBVL states the Club Brugge star is scheduled to undergo his Gunners medical on Sunday and Monday. This shows it’s only a matter of time before Mikel Arteta’s side wrap up his signing. He will soon be the Jupiler Pro League’s most expensive sale.
