Mavericks prospect Sergio De Larrea is impressing in the NBA Summer League, recording 26 assists across his last two games. The former Valencia Basket guard and Liga Endesa Best Young Player joined Dallas following a series of trades involving the Lakers and Knicks.
After being selected in this year's NBA Draft, Spanish prospect Sergio De Larrea has been dishing out assists while playing in the Summer League.
An impressive statistic he managed to record is totaling 26 assists in his past two games for the Dallas Mavericks, while the rest of the team made just 25.
De Larrea finished his last game with two points, nine rebounds and 14 assists in 26 minutes of play on Thursday, as they won against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Before that he enjoyed an outing, where he scored 16 points and dished out 12 assists in a win against the Grizzlies.
De Larrea's road to the NBA
The Spanish guard was selected with the 25th overall pick in the NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers, but his draft rights were immediately traded to the New York Knicks in exchange for the draft rights to Cameron Carr.
His rights were then moved once again, this time to the Dallas Mavericks as part of a three-team trade.
De Larrea boosted his stock significantly with his performances for Valencia Basket this past season.

The 20-year-old earned the Liga Endesa Best Young Player award after an impressive campaign, dominating the voting with 203.4 points.
In 34 ACB appearances, De Larrea averaged 9.6 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game while posting a 12.7 efficiency rating.
Previous Liga Endesa Best Young Player winners include several players who went on to reach the NBA or become major international names, such as Luka Doncic, Juancho Hernangomez, and Usman Garuba.
