The Mohamed Salah transfer saga has taken plenty of twists since his Liverpool chapter closed, with speculation swirling around MLS, Turkey, and Serie A destinations for the 34-year-old forward following Egypt’s World Cup exit.
Sporting Kansas City have emerged as one of the most persistent suitors, reportedly assembling a lucrative two-year proposal to lure Salah stateside.
Salah, though, has made clear he won’t rush anything, stating any call on his future would wait until after the World Cup.
Turkish and Saudi clubs have never been far from the conversation whenever Salah’s name comes up, and this window has been no different.
Speculation around a Turkish move gathered pace when Salah’s agent was pictured on a flight to Turkey, fuelling theories of talks with either Beşiktaş or Fenerbahçe.
That backdrop set the stage for scenes at Beşiktaş’s own presentation ceremony for new signing Leandro Trossard, where the Turkish giants unveiled the Belgian in front of their own fans.
Instead of simply celebrating Trossard, supporters hijacked the moment, breaking into chants demanding the club sign Salah instead, shaking the stands with cries of “Oh God, in the name of God, Mohamed Salah!”

That fan fervour, however, has now been firmly shut down from the top.
Beşiktaş president Serdar Adali dismissed the growing noise around a Salah deal this week, telling Winwin in a brief statement: “It is not true that we are interested in signing Mohamed Salah this summer”.
The denial will come as a blow to Beşiktaş supporters who had clearly set their hearts on a marquee arrival, judging by the raucous scenes at Trossard’s unveiling.
