Reports suggest that an Arsenal forward currently on loan in Sweden has caught the attention of another Allsvenskan club this summer. Charles Sagoe Jr has been in impressive form for Kalmar and could now be set for a permanent move.
The 21-year-old, who turns 22 later this month, has scored once and provided seven assists in 12 league appearances. He has also found the net in the Swedish Cup and has mainly operated as a winger while showing he can play up front.
Sagoe Jr joined Arsenal’s academy back in 2015 and made his senior debut for the club against Brentford in 2023. He has featured prominently at youth level and previously spent time on loan at Shrewsbury and Swansea.

His current temporary deal with Kalmar runs until the end of the calendar year. It had been expected that the Swedish side might look to sign him permanently if his good form continued.
AIK Fotboll are now understood to be keen on securing the player on a permanent basis this summer. The Stockholm club could beat Kalmar to the punch and complete a deal before the end of the window.
