Klopp has officially agreed to take over from former Germany international manager Julian Nagelsmann after the nation crashed out of the World Cup at the round of 32.

Jurgen Klopp has learned when he is likely to officially take over as the German national team head coach.
The former Liverpool manager is expected to be unveiled as the country's new boss following the resignation of Julian Nagelsmann at the end of Germany's road in the World Cup at the round of 32.
The nation had been one of the favourites for the tournament in the USA, Mexico and Canada before it kicked off. But they fell at the first hurdle after the group stages and Nagelsmann acknowledged it was time for a change as he stepped down from his position with the DFB.
The association moved quickly to appoint the 38-year-old's successor after elimination against Paraguay and it was Klopp they turned to following his hiatus from management after leaving Anfield back in 2024.
Klopp agreed to take the Germany job and has been waiting to learn when he can take the post and get to work in an official capacity.
And now Sky Sports' transfer guru Florian Plettenberg has explained how some details of the deal still need to be "resolved". However, if these can be finalised sooner rather than later, Anfield icon Klopp could be rubberstamped as boss and unveiled in Frankfurt as early as next week.
"Oliver Mintzlaff is set to meet Jürgen Klopp in New York this weekend, as planned. The secret meeting between DFB and Red Bull took place in Munich on Tuesday," Plettenberg revealed.

"Details still remain to be resolved. Nothing is expected to be announced before the World Cup final.
"All parties involved, including the DFB, are planning to finalise the deal - including the signing and official announcement - next week in Frankfurt. Before that, Klopp will return from New York."
Klopp has been working with the Red Bull as their head of global soccer since the beginning of 2025 and had to receive the greenlight from his employer to allow the move to take place.

The 59-year-old's contract with Red Bull runs until 2029. According to German news agency DPA, Red Bull is willing to release Klopp from his contract to take the Germany job. It's unclear at this stage whether he will continue working for Red Bull in some capacity.
Klopp is a winning manager with all clubs he has worked at over the past 25 years in the dugout.
He won promotion with Mainz before taking on a bigger challenge at Borussia Dortmund but he lifted six trophies with BVB and finished runners up in the Champions League Final in 2013.

At Liverpool he took home nine winners' medals including the Premier League and Champions League twice.
