Emerson Nwaneri has reportedly agreed two new deal with Premier League champions Arsenal ahead of next season.
The Hale End Academy product had been heavily linked with a move away from the Gunners, but has now put an end to speculation over his future.
According to The Telegraph and Sky Sports UK, Emerson has agreed a scholarship contract with Arsenal and the attacking midfielder is set to sign a professional deal once he turns seventeen in August 2027.
Emerson is following in the footsteps of Nigeria Football Federation target Ethan Nwaneri, who signed a scholarship agreement with the north London club in July 2023 before signing his first professional contract eight months later.
Ethan was scouted by Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle during Marseille's 3-0 victory over Renens in a Coupe de France match at the Orange Vélodrome in February.
For now, the Arsenal first-team midfielder appears to be leaning towards representing England at senior international level, having trained with the Three Lions ahead of their opening match of the 2026 Fifa World Cup.
Emerson made 14 appearances across the U18 Premier League, Premier League 2 and UEFA Youth League during his final season as a schoolboy.
Although he is yet to make his senior debut, Emerson trained with Arsenal's first team ahead of their FA Cup fifth-round tie against Mansfield Town in March 2026.
