Netflix released every episode of “Quarterback” Season 3 on July 14, and the opening segment of episode one spends more time on Joe Flacco than any of the three other featured passers.
The storyline opens roughly 17 minutes in his New Jersey garage, where Flacco and his wife, Dana, stand next to the torch red 2014 Corvette Stingray he won for being named Super Bowl XLVII MVP.

Flacco has been in the league since 2008, won a Super Bowl with the Ravens in February 2013, played for six different franchises, and is now entering his 19th NFL season. He has accumulated hardware that most quarterbacks never come close to, and by his own admission, most of it is sitting in a garage or at his father’s house collecting dust. The Corvette is a perfect example.

The scene, shared widely online after the docuseries dropped, shows Flacco standing beside the dusty Stingray, admitting he has no idea where the keys even are anymore.
“I think it’s been in here for probably five years,” Flacco said, gesturing at the car parked among his kids’ scattered toys.He compared the ~450-horsepower prize to something far less glamorous. “You keep your trophies stuffed in the attic somewhere, and this is just a bigger version of that,” Flacco said, noting that the doors do not even open properly anymore since there is no handle.

The Corvette Stingray Flacco won carried anestimated 450 horsepower and a sub-four-second sprint to 60 miles per hour when General Motors built it, a spec sheet that has meant little to a quarterback who says the car simply does not fit his family’s daily life.

The Corvette is not the only trophy collecting dust in Flacco’s life. Flacco also showed off his tarnished Super Bowl MVP trophy during the same episode, revealing it has sat mostly untouched at his father’s house for over a decade.
“It’s tarnished as heck,” Flacco said of the trophy. “Nobody’s touched this in 12 years, 13 years.”The relaxed attitude toward hardware fits the broader arc of Flacco’s 2025 season, which the docuseries also covers in detail. He opened the year asCleveland’s starter beforea midseason trade sent him to Cincinnati, where he helped stabilize the Bengals’ offense once Joe Burrow went down with an injury.
Flacco threw for 2,479 yards, 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions across 13 starts split between the two AFC North rivals last season, earning his first career Pro Bowl selection as a replacement despite the rocky path his year took. He returned to Cincinnati again this offseason on a new deal, even though he is not expected to be the team’s starter entering his 19th NFL season.
For a quarterback who has now played for six different franchises since his Super Bowl run with the Ravens, the Corvette scene captured something Flacco has repeated often in interviews. He values the accomplishments themselves far more than any trophy or car sitting around to prove them, a mindset that has carried him from Baltimore’s championship locker room all the way to a 19th season split between Cleveland and Cincinnati.
