In a separate boost for the academy, Emerson Nwaneri is set to commit his long-term future to Arsenal. The highly-rated midfielder rejected approaches from Chelsea and Manchester City. As the younger brother of first-team prospect Ethan Nwaneri, he has been influenced by the club’s pathway to senior football.
Nwaneri impressed in the U18 Premier League and stepped up to Under-21 level. His decision ensures another exciting prospect remains at Hale End, where he will integrate into the scholars programme and earn a professional contract at 17. These developments highlight Arsenal’s ability to retain and recruit elite academy talent despite fierce competition.
