Expectations aroundJerry Jeudy have started to build again in theCleveland Browns. A healthier receiver room, fresh competition at quarterback and another offseason with the Browns’ have fueled his optimism.
Not everyone is buying the hype, though. One Cleveland analyst Anthony Lima believes that Jeudy’s struggles run much deeper than the QB carousel, throwing cold water on predictions of a return to 1,000-yard form.
Jerry Jeudy’s Cleveland Browns Future Questioned After Harsh Production Criticism

During 92.3 The Fan’s discussion shared on X on July 17, Lima made it clear he is not expecting a resurgence from Jeudy this season. While discussing the Browns outlook for 2026, Lima said that he’d take the under on every statistical projection tied to the Browns’ No. 1 receiver, arguing last year’s production simply wasn’t good enough for a player leading the receiving corps.

The criticism comes just days after Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot offered a far more optimistic outlook. Cabot said Jeudy looked rejuvenated during the offseason and believes he has a legitimate chance to bounce back from his 2025 slump and rediscover the form that earned him a Pro Bowl nod and a 1,000-yard season back in 2024.
The contrast between those opinions reflects the debate surrounding Jeudy heading into training camp. The Browns added rookie receivers KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston while hoping Isaiah Bond continues to develop, giving the offense considerably more depth than it had a year ago. Even so, Jeudy is still expected to open the season as the Browns’ top receiving option.

His ability to rebound could also hinge on the QB battle. The Browns are still searching for consistency under center after cycling through multiple starters in 2025, making chemistry a major storyline throughout camp.
For Jeudy, the mission is straightforward. Another disappointing season would only strengthen the criticism surrounding his inconsistency.
