AC Milan have already spent big on Goncalo Ramos this summer, but they are pursuing another striker to complete the department.
Given the money that has been spent to acquire him from Paris Saint-Germain, there is no doubting that Ramos is Milan’s new starting number nine. However, there are doubts about the back-up role, with Santiago Gimenez having failed to convince, plus the possibility of a loan for Francesco Camarda.

Jesus linked again
Among the various profiles that was spoken about prior to the arrival of Ramos for a club-record fee was Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus. He is no longer a starter in north London following Viktor Gyokeres’ arrival, with Mikel Arteta even preferring Kai Havertz up front too.
According to Brazilian transfer journalist Jorge Nicola, Milan are ‘leading the race’ to sign Jesus this summer. Arsenal have named a £20m (€23.5m) asking price for the former Manchester City man, whose contract expires in one year.
Milan are negotiating with the Gunners to secure a fee below that amount, but there are other clubs in the running to land him. Juventus and Atlético Madrid have also made enquiries over the striker’s availability, while a return to Palmeiras remains something for the future in Jesus’ eyes.
The last three seasons have not been the most productive for the 29-year-old: he scored three times in the league last season (in just 14 appearances), three times the season prior and four times in 2023-24. He has also missed 63 games in three years due to injuries.
