The Las Vegas Raiders are looking to move the needle and can go big-fish hunting. With coach Klint Kubiak being one of the more respected coordinators to get a coaching job in recent memory, there is a litany of players who would want to play for him. The Las Vegas Raiders have a good offensive core, but could add to it in the not-so-distant future. Let’s take a deeper dive into one rumor that would have them adding a megastar to the team.
Justin Jefferson to the Las Vegas Raiders rumors swirling

Hondo Carpenter covers the Las Vegas Raiders for On SI, and discussed the idea that the team could be trading for Justin Jefferson in the future for one specific reason.
“I think you wait and let that Justin Jefferson thing pan out a little bit. Nothing’s imminent. I’m not saying anything is imminent. I just know that’s a potential that he may want to move on and he had his best play with Klint [Kubiak]. I think and may have reason to believe that he would be amicable if he were to be moved to be reunited… with Klint Kubiak.”
It’s important to note that this rumor could amount to nothing, but is interesting to discuss, as this would shake the fabric of the league entirely if there is a trade. Jefferson is under contract for three more seasons, and his cap hit expands from $21.1 million in 2026 to more than doubling in 2027 at $49.4 million. Would the Minnesota Vikings be willing to trade the superstar wide receiver? Time will only tell, but at this point, it is a fun thought exercise for how it would work.
Currently, the Las Vegas Raiders have a projected starting wide receiver core of Jack Bech, Tre Tucker, and Jalen Nailor, making it one of the weakest wide receiver rooms in the NFL heading into the 2026 season. Justin Jefferson worked with Klint Kubiak in his first two years in the league, as Kubiak was the Vikings’ quarterback coach in 2020 and offensive coordinator in 2021. Entering his seventh NFL season, Jefferson has been nothing short of a superstar, as he is a two-time first-team All-Pro, Offensive Player of the Year, and a four-time All-Pro.
It will be intriguing to see if anything substantial comes out regarding this, but the potential of an offense with Justin Jefferson, Brock Bowers, and Ashton Jeanty immediately leaps it to one of the best in the sport.
