Mohamed Salah’s agent earlier provided an update on the forward’s future, suggesting that news of his next club could arrive soon.
The Egyptian forward left Liverpool at the end of last season, a year before his contract was due to expire, bringing an end to his nine-year spell at Anfield.

Since then, the 34-year-old has helped Egypt reach the last 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, while speculation over his next move has continued.
Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa hinted that an announcement regarding the winger’s next destination could be made sooner rather than later.
Taking to X, he said: “We still do not know where Mohamed will play next season but we may know very soon. It is not our style to have discussions with clubs that Mohamed wouldn’t want to play for, just for the sake of noise.”
Salah spoke about his future ahead of this summer’s World Cup. Speaking last month, he said: “I am still assessing things. I have time now. I am going to the World Cup and then everything will become clear.”
Salah has been linked with several clubs since confirming his departure from Liverpool. A move to Saudi Arabia has once again been suggested as a possible destination, while a switch to Major League Soccer remains an option.
The Egyptian forward has also recently emerged as a target for Turkish side Besiktas, with reports claiming the club have already submitted an offer for his services.
The interest comes just days after Besiktas completed the signing of former Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard, who left the Emirates Stadium in a deal worth around £15m.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Mohamed Salah is preparing for a new challenge, with the Egyptian forward reaching a verbal agreement with Besiktas over a free transfer.
The former Liverpool winger is expected to join the Turkish giants after ending his nine-year spell at Anfield this summer.
Salah is set to earn around €10million per year, plus €2million in bonuses, and is expected to sign a one-year contract with an option for a further season. Besiktas, who finished fourth in the Turkish Super Lig last season, will compete in the 2026/27 Europa League.
